Jazmyn was raised in Huslia, Alaska, and now lives near Troth Yeddha’ (Fairbanks), Alaska. Her mother’s family is from Ambler, and she was raised in a subsistence lifestyle that shaped her commitment to protecting Alaska Native ways of life. Jazmyn brings years of experience advocating for Alaska Native hunting, fishing, and subsistence rights, as well as environmental justice issues affecting rural communities across Alaska. She has a strong commitment to salmon conservation and responsible resource management and works to ensure Indigenous voices are centered in decisions that impact our lands, waters, and traditional practices.
