Yukon River Emergency Gillnet Closure - District 2 (ends July 5)

There is an emergency gillnet closure in effect for the Yukon River District 2, including the communities of Mountain Village, Pitkas Point, St. Mary's, Pilot Station, and Marshall. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) issued this emergency action due to critically low Chinook (king) salmon returns and concerns for conservation during the peak migration period.
