Coastal District, Districts 1, 2, 3, and the Innoko River area
Boundaries: from the Naskonat Peninsula north to Point Romanof upstream to an ADFG regulatory marker ¾ mile downriver from Old Paradise Village, including the Black River, Anuk River, and the Innoko River
Communities: Chevak, Hooper Bay, Scammon Bay, Nunam Iqua, Alakanuk, Kotlik, Emmonak, Mountain Village, Pitkas Point, St. Mary’s, Pilot Station, Marshall, Russian Mission, Holy Cross, and Shageluk
Gill net fishing and manned fish wheels for nonsalmon closes, Sunday, July 27 at 12:00 p.m until Thursday, July 31 at 12:00 p.m. Weekly fishing with these methods (4 inch mesh or smaller) will be open from Thursdays at noon through Sundays at noon.
During these closures, gill nets and fish wheels are not allowed.
Fishing for nonsalmon with selective gear remains open 24/7, including during gill net closures. Selective gear includes: rod and pole, dip net, beach seine, hand line, long line, and fyke net.
Nonsalmon species include: burbot (lush), Dolly Varden, Bering Cisco, Humpback Whitefish, Pike, Broad Whitefish, Sheefish, Arctic Grayling, Arctic Lamprey, and Longnose Suckers.
