Federal Pre-Season Outlook
As we enter the 2025 salmon season, the Federal Subsistence Board has released its preseason outlook and management plans for Yukon River salmon. This outlook includes important projections on salmon runs, management strategies, and any anticipated regulatory changes that may impact our fisheries and communities.
Federal managers will be closing Chinook and Chum salmon fishing in Federal waters starting June 1 in lower river areas, with closures moving upriver as the season progresses.
